The Beliefs and Practices of St. Andrew’s

We maintain Apostolic succession. All of our Bishops are men who are in a direct,

unbroken line reaching back to the Apostles themselves. All of the clergy under

them has been ordained by them. We continue in the Faith and Practice taught by

the Holy Apostles and the early church and which are recorded in Scripture.

We believe that the Old and New Testaments are the record of God's revelation

of Himself to mankind and that they contain all things necessary to salvation; that

whatever is not found in Scripture, nor can be proved by Scripture, is not

required to be believed.

We Believe that God, in his mercy, became man through His Son, Jesus

Christ, to reveal Himself to us once and for all; that God sent His Holy

Spirit to guide His Church in all truth upon the Ascension of Christ into

Heaven.

We believe that God has saved man from his sins and that each of us may

find rest with Him if we repent of our sins and confess Christ as our Lord.

We also believe that Jesus only is the Lord and we come to Our Father only by him.

Moreover, we believe that God is merciful and righteous and that He hears our

prayers and has compassion on us; that He heals us and strengthens us and

watches over each of us individually.
